HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 Release 4 is now available

  • Building on the X10000's foundation for AI data infrastructure, Release 4 introduces enhancements that expand scale, accelerate graphics processing unit (GPU) access, advance data intelligence capabilities, and simplify secure operations for enterprise AI environments.
  • Together, these innovations help organizations accelerate AI, simplify data management, and scale AI infrastructure with greater efficiency and confidence.
  • This release strengthens the X10000's position as an active data layer for AI, helping organizations consolidate, govern, enrich, and activate unstructured data across AI, analytics, and data-intensive workloads.

About the new capabilities

  • Massively expanded scale with support for up to 16 nodes and 16 JBOF enclosures, delivering approximately 2x the performance and 2x the capacity of the previous release, scaling to roughly 23 petabytes (PB) of raw capacity.
  • Unified file and object storage with native Network File System (NFS) and object storage on a single platform, eliminating data silos and simplifying operations.
  • Accelerated AI data pipelines through remote direct memory access (RDMA) support for file workloads, NVIDIA GPUDirect Storage enablement, and readiness for NVIDIA enterprise certifications.
  • Enhanced Data Intelligence with NVIDIA Inference Microservices (NIM)-based multimodal AI capabilities, multi-node deployments, and support for customer-developed AI functions that help transform raw data into AI-ready data.
  • Inference acceleration with integrated key-value (KV) cache innovations that improve time to first token and inference throughput for AI workloads.
  • Stronger security and sovereignty through support for disconnected and air-gapped deployments, Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) external key management, and Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.3 enhancements.
  • Simplified operations with software update orchestration, automated firmware management, and enhanced supportability to reduce day-two administrative overhead.
